BULB TYPES

Fluorescent linear tubes come in 3 different sizes, T5, T8, and T12 and are available in lengths up to eight feet. All fluorescent bulbs require a ballast to operate, while older models require a starter as well.

 

Miniature lamps
Miniature lamps are designed for applications where specific size, voltage, watts or amperes are required. They are usually low in cost and provide long life. Common applications include automotive, marine, aviation and medical lighting.

 

Compact fluorescent lamp (CFL), is a fluorescent lamp designed to replace an incandescent lamp. Compared to general-service incandescent lamps giving the same amount of visible light, CFLs use one-fifth to one-third the electric power, and last eight to fifteen times longer. They come in a variety of styles: A-shape, globe, decorative, plug in, reflector, as well as PAR style.

 
 

Single Ended halogen light bulbs are available in Mini Candelabra (E11) base, or Bayonet (DC or BA15d) base. They are available in clear and frosted. Some of the applications that they are used in are in light pendants, table lamps, ceiling fans, decoration of store windows and department stores

 

LED lampscan replace all other light sources. Their lifespan is very long and they are an interesting choice for hard-to-reach locations. Because LED lamps are not subject to normal wear, their lifespan generally extends from 25,000 to 100,000 hours.

 

PAR (Parabolic Aluminized Reflector) Flood Bulbs are ideal for indoor recessed & track fixtures, outdoor security and landscape lighting. They can enhance the look of your home with its bright light.

There are a variety of specialty incandescent bulbs depending on the application you require; half mirror, infra-red, plant light, bug light, neodymium.

 

Long life and rough service have an exceptionally strong filament for which a special filament wire is used, which makes these lamps extremely suitable for places where shocks, bumps and vibrations frequently occur.

 

Coloured lightbulbs including transparent light bulbs and red, blue, green, yellow, orange and pink light bulbs.

J- Type Halogen double ended lamps
The J Type Halogen bulb is used in general lighting, task lighting, and floor lighting in homes, offices, shops, museums, billboards, parking lots, and construction sites. They are available in 2 sizes, 78mm & 118mm.

 
 

MR LAMPS
"MR" stands for multifaceted reflector, a pressed glass reflector with the inside (reflecting side) surface composed of facets and covered by a reflective coating. The reflective coating of MR16 lamps can be either dichroic or aluminum. Ideal for track or recessed light fixtures.

 

High pressure sodium
Extremely efficient HID lighting source. They are available in clear and coated and come in a multitude of wattages as well as shapes. Some applications that they are used in are security lighting, parking lots, garages , and many more.

 

Metal Hallides are high efficiency, bright white light for commercial lighting applications. They are available in clear and coated and come in a multitude of wattages as well as shapes.

 
 

Mercury vapor is the original and now the oldest HID technology. It has been replaced by other HID types that offer higher lumen output and better color properties.
